How Ingredients are Hidden on Labels - Complete Lists
Organic Foods
Organic products mostly contain only organic ingredients, however, some non-organic ingredients, such as food additives, may also be found in these products in small amounts. The following three lists confirm the non-organic ingredients permitted:
1. Non-Organic Permitted Substances in Organic Foods - 6.3 (classified as food additives)
2. Non-Organic Permitted Substances in Organic Foods - 6.4 (not classified as food additives)
3. Substances permitted in products whose contents are 70% or more, and less than 95% organic ingredients.

My "Top Five Ingredients of Concern" List:
1. Any food that contains synthetic trans fats - example: hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils.
2. Sweetening ingredients including artificial sweeteners - example: aspartame, sucralose.
3. Chemical preservatives - example: sodium nitrite, sodium benzoate.
4. Flavour enhancers - example: MSG.
5. Artificial colours - example: tartrazine, allura red.
